Nelson Chan is currently the Head of Screens and Digital Displays at Fujifilm Business Innovation New Zealand. He specialises in commercial displays, ranging from video-conferencing room displays to indoor signage LED to outdoor digital billboards. Working with a team of 80 sales people, he was headhunted to build the department from the ground up and rapidly expand Fujifilm into this market. He has previously held roles in other multinational corporations such as Samsung and 3M in New Zealand. Prior to New Zealand, Nelson was in China working at European MNC such as SGS (Swiss) and Kemira (Finnish).

Originally from Hong Kong, Nelson has spent many years in mainland China, mostly in Shanghai, and is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin. He has also spent a bit of time in the Wisconsin, USA and Sydney, Australia for an education in Chemical Engineering and Technology Management.

His recent visit back to China in early 2024, which is five years since his last visit due to COVID, has put him in awe of the scale of China’s infrastructure development and technological advancement in the mainland. He is keen to share his knowledge of both Hong Kong, mainland China, and the GBA in general, and help Kiwi businesses to navigate to this region, especially in the sector of interactive and LED displays. Or vice versa.

Outside work, Nelson enjoys spending time with his young family. When time allows, he enjoys Tennis and most outdoor activities.
